Soldering, Annealing & Heat Treatment for Industry

Soldering and annealing for industrial components

Manufacturing expertise since 1995

Since 1995, Löttechnik BURKHARD has specialised in brazing, annealing and the heat treatment of metal components. We process components made of steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals using modern conveyor-belt continuous production lines and high-vacuum furnaces.

Whether it’s a prototype, a single component or series production: we tailor the processes, temperature control and manufacturing procedures to your requirements. This ensures reproducible solder joints and defined material properties.

Flexible production capacity, bespoke plant engineering and a 24/7 emergency management system support your ability to deliver, even in the event of short-notice demand.

Our services

State-of-the-art furnace conveyor systems solder components made of standard, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals without flux in an inert gas atmosphere.

Soldering and annealing in a high vacuum for even greater flexibility. Learn about the virtually limitless possibilities of a high vacuum oven.

Soldering connects metal to metal without the depth of the metal being reduced due to melting.

The properties of the metal remain largely intact when soldering.

Examples

Material characteristics that change due to heat

Cleanliness that is not always visible to the eye: The heating and subsequent cooling of metal in an inert gas atmosphere leads to chemically uncoated workpieces that are free of oxide and oxide scale.

The recrystallisation annealing of cold-worked workpieces enables additional deformation. Afterwards, the material is once again smooth and the stress in the material is reduced, increasing the tool life of the deformation process significantly.

The perfect basis for your deformation process: recrystallisation annealing of cold-worked workpieces. Reduced stress and smooth to protect your tools and reduce microcracks.

Our services

During annealing in our state-of-the-art oven conveyor systems, components made of standard, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals are gently heated and cooled off in an inert gas atmosphere with a defined temperature curve.

Vacuum annealing for large or deformation-critical components and components made of new, high-alloyed materials.

During annealing, the materials are heated, their temperature is maintained and then they are cooled.

This type of heat treatment can be used to intentionally make changes to the structure of the material.

The first step towards quality

Component assembly is the precondition for flawless soldering results. We apply the most effective and efficient method based on the specific component.

We ensure cost and process reliability for small and large series by finding the best possible solution in collaboration with our customers and our tool and equipment partners.

Whether you need manual or fully automated pre-assembly, it is vital to use that we achieve added value for you.

Our services

3D laser cutting for perfect cutting.

Pre-assembly for proper soldering with all common methods (TIG, MAG, CMT).

In pre-assembly, our individual parts are joined manually or using pneumatic, hydraulic and toggle lever presses.

Various solders, such as copper, nickel or custom solders, are positioned at the soldered joints using a robot, manually or in a semi-automated process according to the component geometry and quantity.

Quality begins even before the actual soldering process.

When dealing with large workpiece quantities, we set up fully automated assembly lines.

Examples

Rigorous inspection and testing

After heat treatment, we provide reliable testing and inspection of your components. For the purposes of quality control and final machining, we have extensive measurement and inspection procedures.
